Prayer Requests
- Claudia, Mike and the kids - As Claudia is home recovering from surgery
- Regan, Kimberly, and Bill - As Regan started school this week (and is away from mom)
- Jack, Bryce, and Grayson - They've all been a little under the weather
- Carol Barham - Chris' aunt, very slow recovery
- Gary - Kendall's friend

Announcements
-  Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no age level activities Sunday night,
8/31.  Church will begin at 6PM.
-  The church offices will be closed Monday, 9/1, for Labor Day
-  Fun Night for Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5.  Friday night, 9/12,
from 6:30-8:30PM at JumpZone.  Meal will not be provided.

-  Breakthru Women's Retreat.  Friday and Saturday, 9/19 and 9/20
 at Timber Creek Camp in Morton.  Cost is $45.  Sign-up by 9/3.

Something to think about.......by Priscilla Shirer
As Christians, we have built-in meters to gauge our behavior.
The Holy Spirit works in us, urging us to check our actions against what we know is right.
When we get off track, we may experience guilt or even suffer consequences.
But when our lives align with God's plan, we find peace.

In Exodus 33:13-15 Moses requested, "Lord, teach me your ways."
Then he said, "Please, Lord, don't make us go without You."
God's response to Moses:  "My presence will go with you.
I will give you rest."  Peace results from God's presence in our lives.
Peace brings rest, tranquility, assuredness, security, and safety.
When we experience the lack of quiet rest, we need to ask if our hearts
may be sensing the absence of God's presence or approval.
